I’m gonna get me a Harmony Banjo And set out at the Howling Hour Sit ‘neath the leaves of a red maple tree Play peek-a-boo with the stars With the stars The effervescent stars Once there was Maybe once there was not And so it is again Hard times call upon us all And we don’t know how it ends If I could twist time like twine Twixt my mortal hands I'd bid my fingers thread our lives Into whole cloth again I’m gonna borrow the Green Automobile I’m sure Allen and Neal wouldn’t mind the once Drive crosstown park out on your lawn Sing you all our favorite songs If I could twist time like twine Twixt my mortal hands I'd bid my fingers thread our lives Into whole cloth again I’m gonna get me a Harmony Banjo

On the day we meet again Will we think of today and remember when We had to part ways but parted as friends On the day we meet again On the day we meet again And we wear different clothes to suit different ends Will we lament what might have been? On the day we meet again I just don’t know what to do I don’t know what to do I just don’t know what to do I don’t know what to do On the day we meet again We’ll be different people from when We last shared laughter - I hope we meet again On the day we meet again I just don’t know what to do I don’t know what to do I just don’t know what to do I don’t know what to do On the day we meet again On the day we meet again
